If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, feel free to come later today and we will work you in. Late afternoon (4:00 and on) will have better availability.
Any adult or family residing in Radford whose income is within the 200% Federal Poverty Guidelines is eligible for Radford Elf Shelf.
2024 Radford Elf Shelf provided gifts to 380 Radford children
Food vouchers* and necessity items to 156 Radford families
*Food vouchers are based on family size. The guidelines for this food voucher are the same as for the federal Food Stamps/Snap Program; used for food purchases only. Participating grocery stores ensure that these guidelines are followed.
All applicants will be screened on designated screening dates each year and must provide:
photo ID of applicant
current proof of Radford address (September, October, November bill with current Radford address)
proof of income eligibility (verification of social service benefits or pay stubs for each employed family member)
Social Security cards, Medicaid or health insurance cards, or birth certificates for everyone in the home
